Dryer vent service
Lint in the vent is a fire risk you can't see.
- Whole run cleared, dryer to outside
- Crushed or kinked duct found
- Outside flap checked

What happens to the lint your filter misses? It collects inside the vent run leading from the dryer to the outside wall or roof. Over time it narrows the vent, so the dryer runs longer and hotter. In U.S. Fire Administration data for 2018 to 2020, not cleaning was the top contributing factor in home dryer fires, cited in 31% of them.
Dryer vent cleaning clears that buildup from end to end. We pull the dryer out, disconnect it, clean the duct all the way to the termination, check the outside flap opens freely, and reconnect. If the duct behind the dryer is crushed or the wrong material, we'll show you. Need the HVAC side done too? Ask about air duct cleaning in the same visit.
Clothes taking two cycles to dry?
That's often the vent, not the dryer. Send a request and we'll check it.
What our dryer vent cleaning covers
The job runs the full length of the vent, because a clog at the far end does as much harm as one behind the dryer.
Full-length cleaning
Rotary brushes and air run through the whole duct to the outside wall or roof cap.
Transition duct check
The short section behind the dryer inspected for crushing, kinks or tears, the most common restriction.
Exterior termination
Lint cleared from the outside hood and the flap checked to make sure it opens when the dryer runs.
Reconnect & test
Dryer reconnected and run to confirm air is moving freely at the outside vent.
Wall vents and roof vents
Wall terminations
The most common setup. Short runs are easier to clean, but the outside flap often sticks with lint.
Roof terminations
Common in homes where the laundry is on an upper floor or an interior wall. Longer runs and the roof cap collect more lint and need regular attention.
Signs your dryer vent needs cleaning
Any of these is a reason to check the vent:
- Loads need a second cycleDamp air can't get out fast enough.
- The dryer or laundry room gets hotHeat is backing up inside.
- A burning smellStop using the dryer until it's checked.
- Outside flap barely opensLittle air is reaching the end of the vent.
- Lint around the outside ventBuildup is spilling out of the hood.
Safety first. Clean the lint filter before and after every load and never run the dryer without it, as the U.S. Fire Administration advises. Plug the dryer straight into a wall outlet, never an extension cord. Stop using the dryer if you smell burning.
