Sample project: a worn cap on a metal chimney top was replaced with a louvered aluminum cap.
The problem
Sample scenario: the old cap was loose on its top plate and rattled in the wind.
What we did
- Removed the old cap.
- Checked the top plate and flashing under it.
- Installed and fastened a new louvered cap.
The result
Sample outcome: a snug cap that keeps rain out of the flue.
